To be able to have organic farms within our city limits is an
enormous asset to Burlington. I love to explore the Intervale
by bike, cross country ski, and walk. The more I see, the more I
want to paint this jewel."

One floral still life and one landscape are captured from start to finish.

Commissions being accepted for 2011
Katharine will be doing commission work focusing on landscapes.
Some distant buildings will be considered, and she will work
from photographs and sketches that she takes when visiting the location.
Occassionally she can work from photos of patrons.
Prices will be similar to those on the oil and watercolor pages of the site.

Katharine Montstream is an artist from Burlington, Vermont. She paints in oils and watercolors and is known for her loose and vibrant use of color. She gets her inspiration from Lake Champlain, the Green Mountains, the City of Burlington and the rural roads, farms and gardens of Vermont. Montstream Studio and Gallery is located in Union Station on Burlington's waterfront and is open year round to the public, featuring original artwork, prints, greeting cards and holiday cards.
